WHITE SOUP AKA OFE NSALA

This soup is hands down my favorite Igbo soup. Easy and quick to prepare, with flavour that has stolen our hearts. Known as white soup because Palm oil is not used for the preparation. Fish, goat meat or chicken can be used to garnish this soup.

EGUSI SOUP

They’re different methods of cooking this delicious Soup. The Igbo Egusi style is made with melon seeds and a variety of ingredients such as dried fish, assorted meats and condiments. Egusi soup has a distinct taste and is enjoyed with pounded yam, eba or fufu.

Ofe Oha, a popular soup in Igbo land is made from cocoyam (ede) and the leaves of the oha tree.

Imagine something called bitter leave being absolutely delicious, such is the case of this soup. The peculiar taste of the soup comes from the leaves used and the presence of Ogiri (fermented pumpkin seed).

Ofe Owerri is a sumptuous traditional soup made with assorted meat/fish and mixed green vegetables. Specifically named after the capital of Imo state-Owerri. This soup is popular for its rich taste and nutritional value.
