The Lagos State Police Command has stated that it was not planning ‘General Raiding’.
The command was alleged to have planned the raid for Thursday and Friday nights from 8pm across the metropolis.
The alleged target spots were bars, clubs, streets, among others.
The information which spread on Wednesday caused panic in some areas.
A statement Wednesday night by Police spokesman, DSP Bala Elkana, accused some persons of creating fear on the minds of the people.
“Lagosians are enjoined to disregard the message and treat it as fake news.
“Avoid the temptation of forwarding such mischievous message.”
Elkana assured that the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, was committed to providing a safe and secure environment for Lagosians to enjoy more of the nightlife.
“The Command has emplaced round the clock security across the State”,
