One of the victims, according to a statement by the spokesman for the committee, Rafiu Ajakaye is the wife of the University of Ilorin teaching hospital, patient, a United kingdom returnee, who died last Thursday and another UK returnee.

The poor handling of the deceased case led to the indefinite suspension of the consultant, Professor A.K. Salami, who admitted, managed and released the corpse of the patient for burial at his home town in Offa under secrecy.

The development first led to the total lockdown of Offa communities now followed by the total shutdown of the whole state.
