President Mohammadu Buhari has been asked to sack and arrest the minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed.
This call came from the report of the judicial panel set up into the inquiry of the lekki toll gate massacre, which took place on the 20th of October, 2020.
The report which was released during the week indicted the police and soldiers of the Nigerian army, who illegally interrupted the peaceful protest by the youths against bad governance and the police’s illicit activities.
The minister of information and culture had actually denied the killings at the lekki toll gate and had even denied it when asked by amnesty international, the organization protecting the rights of individuals globally.
The Human rights Writers Association of Nigeria, HURIWA , has also asserted that the minister should be sacked and arrested for his egregious act of denial about such crimes.
